Award-winning actor and director
Samantha Goldstein is an award-winning actor and director who has been active in multiple San Diego theaters for 12 years. She has a MFA in Creative Writing from UMass Amherst and a Ph.D. in Literature from UC San Diego, where she also taught literature, creative writing and her own survey of Jewish humor for over a decade. While she loves teaching, she is also a writer, singer, comedian and video artist. Favorite acting roles include Bev/Kathy in Clybourne Park, Karen in Jake’s Women, Ethel Banks in Barefoot in the Park, and Ms. Teavee in Willy Wonka: The Musical. Favorite director credits include Becky Shaw, Circle Mirror Transformation, Beau Jest, The Sisters Rosensweig, and Same Time Next Year. She has a dynamic and collaborative teaching style, and encourages a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
